So this is the art that has got so many people upset. Can’t say I blame them. The Samulet isn’t a Wincest. It a “Sam is Dean’s baby brother and will doing for for him because he loves his Sammy more than anything else in the world” kind of thing.

Seriously, I agree in that drawing Cas wearing the amulet is a hostile actions towards Wincest shippers. Of course we’ll react badly to it and the person who drew this fanart probably knew we will.

I’m sure it was done for a reaction which is fine. Most art is. And like a lot of art it makes no sense and is highly implausible. “hey Cas wear the necklace my baby brother gave me and I’ll wear your grace. No I won’t give you the grace so you can be an angel again I’ll just wear it……”

This art really angers and upsets me.

Do you see us Wincesters having Dean tattoo Sam’s hand print to his body? No, why? Because we respect that the hand print is a symbol of the “more pro-found bond” between Sam and Dean. We respect boundaries and would never dream of using something so sacred to another ship for our own yet clearly this Destiel shipper thought it was okay.

The Samulet is sacred, its special, it represents the “erotically codependent soul mates” that is Sam and Dean. It shows Sam is Dean’s world and Dean is Sam’s. This isn’t just about shipping Wincest, this is about the very basic foundations that is Sam and Dean’s relationship.

This was meant as a huge slap in the face to Wincesters and Sam lovers everywhere, not as Destiel fanart but as a hostile and sick cyber attack.

lol, people are funny when they overreact to things…

1. Ummm… didn’t Dean give the amulet to Cas? This picture makes sense because, for a time, it was Cas’ to keep in his pocket, wear around his neck, or fondle, or do whatever with.

2. Other people can and did touch touch Dean’s handprint (Anna, Pamela…) and it’s not that big a deal.

3. If I were writing a wincest fic, especially if it was in season 4 after Dean got back, you can betcha I would have Sam being curious about the handprint and touching it/learning it, (even possibly during sex) because it’s something new about Dean… and it wouldn’t be to “piss of destiel shippers” it would just be because it makes sense……? Cas, in canon no less, has had the necklace, so him wearing it is not that far a stretch of the imagination, it is also a thing that makes sense.

4. Within the realm of fanworks, people can do whatever they want….Including write bestiality and non-con, nothing is sacred, nothing is off limits, so why would a necklace be?
